Searcher Seismic in conjunction with project partner, Fugro Multi Client Services (FMCS) is pleased to announce that the Drop Bear UltracubeTM 3D reprocessing project in the Carnarvon Basin is now complete.
The Drop Bear Ultracube is the broadband PSDM reprocessed Willem 3D seismic survey in the Carnarvon Basin, Western Australia, 2,700km2 originally acquired in 2006.
Rachel Masters, Global Sales Manager for Searcher, said it is becoming increasingly more cost effective to reprocess existing, older surveys with a modern broadband algorithm.
“The reprocessing objective was to increase the deep Triassic fault block definition and assess the AVO behaviour, the results of the processing are impressive,” Ms Masters said.
The Drop Bear Ultracube also covers the recent Pyxis-1 gas discovery by Woodside.
Searcher is currently undertaking PSDM reprocessing on a number of surveys, including the Lahara 2D Seismic Survey in Papua New Guinea and the Pala Sulu 2D Seismic Survey in the Philippines.
