Searcher Seismic is pleased to announce acquisition of the Silver-Eye 3D Seismic Survey in the Hammerfest Basin, Norwegian Barents Sea is now complete.
The Silver-Eye 3D Seismic Survey comprises 3,000 km2 covering the north and south flanks in the Hammerfest Basin.
The survey covers the areas close to the Snøhvit and Goliat field and over the Snøhvit Beta and Tornerose Discoveries.
The 3D data is now being processed with high quality broadband sequences by DownUnder GeoSolutions.
Jan Gunnar Opsal, Norway Country Manager for Searcher, said the survey substantially expands 3D coverage of the Hammerfest Basin.
“So far, the preliminary data is of excellent quality and significant additional improvement is expected with optimal broadband processing.
“We look forward to the final product revealing exciting results for both conventional and unconventional play models, in this highly prospective part of the Hammerfest Basin”, Mr Opsal added.
Final data will be ready for interpretation and evaluation in March 2016.
