Searcher Seismic and project partner Fugro are pleased to announce the extension of the Barrow 3D Ultracube Non-Exclusive Reprocessing Project.
The project now extends to the North East to include the Judo, Pegasus, Demeter, Mutiny and Mutineer Exeter 3D surveys and to the South East to include the Flinders, Roller and North Saladin 3D surveys.
This new extension of the Barrow Ultracube increases the total area to approximately 23,000 km2 in size and consists of a total of 30 individual surveys of different vintages reprocessed from field tape.
The PSTM reprocessing from field tape allows for contiguous volume interpretation on a basin wide scale and maintains prospect scale resolution which provides the foundation of future exploration in the Carnarvon Basin.
The seismic data processing is currently being undertaken at Fugro in Perth, Western Australia and provides a consistent 3D dataset which has the potential to further understand the regional stratigraphic and structural interpretation of the Carnarvon basin.
A full suite of additional products will be generated during the processing sequence and will allow further work such as depth processing, AVO studies and inversion.
