PERTH, WA, 27 October 2020 – Searcher, a leading service provider of global multi-client geoscience products for exploration & production companies, announced it has entered into a strategic partnership with the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), for hosting and integrating EAGE’s scientific content database, EarthDoc, within Searcher’s advanced geo-imagery search engine – GeoClerk.
The partnership will provide users of GeoClerk with the ability to add EarthDoc’s document library, which consists of over 70,000 articles and publications, into GeoClerk’s image-search engine which intelligently identifies, classifies and returns corresponding search results in an intuitive geoscience and exploration focused format.
GeoClerk is an exploration technology advanced geo-imagery search engine, utilising machine learning to intelligently extract imagery and surrounding data from all types of documents, classifying them into intuitive and geologically relevant categories. In addition to searching publicly accessible content on the internet, GeoClerk searches for proprietary content held within several of its plug-ins from institutional and government databases.
Data included in the partnership extends to all historical editions of First Break, Geophysical Prospecting, Near Surface Geophysics, Petroleum Geoscience and all EAGE Conference and Workshop Proceedings.
Alan Hopping, VP for Searcher, said, “Searcher is pleased to include EAGE’s extensive database as part of GeoClerk’s offering.
“We look forward to working with EAGE and strengthening the partnership which enables us to continue to deliver high-quality products to the global E&P industry”, Mr Hopping added.
“As a leading global geoscience and engineering association, EAGE is excited to venture into this new partnership with Searcher,” Remco Bax, Chief Financial & Operating Officer EAGE states. “We believe it will help in furthering our reach and bring high quality resources to our multi-disciplinary community.”
