ST9802 Ultracube™ 3D Seismic Survey

Advanced Imaging of the Finnmark Platform

Comprising of 1,448 square kilometers of reprocessed data, the ST9802 Ultracube™ 3D Seismic Survey bestows a remarkable enhancement in the quality of the 3D data. Located in the intriguing depths of the Barents Sea’s Finnmark Platform, this survey was meticulously re-processed from field tapes, boosting its technical capabilities by integrating the latest in demultiple, gather flattening, and migration algorithms that were absent in the original 1999 vintage.

Propelled by the power of advanced reprocessing techniques, the ST9802 survey augments the imaging of the Jurassic sequence, located at 1 second TWT. Moreover, it endows a refined definition of the deeper Triassic and Permian clastics. Such improvements in data quality ensures a more precise assessment of subsurface structures and potential hydrocarbon reservoirs. This undoubtedly positions the ST9802 survey as an indispensable tool for exploration and development initiatives in the Finnmark Platform.
