Peru 2D and 3D Rectification and Well Atlas

Pioneering Onshore Exploration in Peru

The Onshore Peru 2D & 3D Rectification project, a dynamic undertaking with PeruPetro, offers an upgraded dataset pivotal for any forthcoming bid rounds, regional evaluations, and the appraisal of existing business opportunities. This project encompasses the rejuvenation of legacy seismic data using Searcher’s proprietary post-stack rectification technique, resulting in a meticulously refined database that corrects navigation, metadata, amplitude, phase, and time, delivering a seamlessly integrated and exceedingly precise resource, compatible with any interpretation software. The Onshore dataset now boasts approximately 82,000 km of 2D and over 4,800 km² of 3D rectified seismic surveys.

The Onshore Peru Well Atlas, created from an initial collection of over 4,700 wells, now includes a curated subset integrated seamlessly. Detailed post-drill analysis on over 60 crucial exploration and appraisal wells within the sub-Andean Marañon, Ucayali, and Madre de Dios basins have been completed, which involved remapping horizons, conditioning available log data and conducting detailed risk assessments, culminating in a modern, insightful well atlas. Peru, with prospective resources surpassing 20 billion barrels of oil equivalent (BBOE), is a region ripe with potential— a potential that this enhanced seismic and well database is key to unlocking.
