Searcher, in collaboration with Discover Geoscience, has entered into a marketing and sales agreement with Timor-Leste’s Petroleum Authority, Autoridade Nacional Do Petroleo E Minerals (ANPM). This partnership offers the industry rapid access to a comprehensive open-file seismic package, significantly expediting the evaluation process for offshore Timor-Leste.

The Offshore Timor-Leste Data includes approximately 102,700 km of 2D and 22,500 km² of 3D open-file seismic data, rectified using Searcher’s post-stack rectification workflow to method to rectify navigation, metadata, amplitude, phase, and time. Combined with 109 openfile wells, the database offers a contiguous database that facilitates the investigation of the distribution of plays and traps across Timor-Leste and is suitable for preliminary exploration analysis, including basin modelling, isopach, and play fairway building

The Offshore Prospectivity Study offers a comprehensive regional play-based evaluation of the offshore license block areas, based on the interpretation within the Data Package. Utilising a multidisciplinary approach, the study evaluates all play levels from the Permian to Cretaceous, with an extensive review of under-explored Triassic potential play types, including time and depth maps for key regional surfaces, paleogeographic maps, source maturity maps (calibrated with 1D models), common risk segment maps, new play evaluations, well summaries, and identification of key plays.
