The North West Shelf Regional Velocity Cube (~470,000 km²) is an integrated, high quality, geologically consistent velocity volume that covers the Carnarvon and Canning Basins offshore Australia.

The velocity volume has been filtered, balanced and leveled (both within and between surveys) using velocity data from appropriate 3D and 2D seismic surveys. The final model has been geostatistically scaled to honour time-depth information from suitable well data, and several interpreted surfaces were used to define the regional trend.

The velocity cube is a unique product that gives companies the ability to maximize the value potential of their existing seismic database while gaining a deeper understanding of the regional setting on the Northwest Shelf of Australia.
