Mialara Broadband 2D Seismic Survey

Unlocking East Palawan Basin’s Potential

The Mialara Broadband 2D Seismic Survey consists of approximately 4,900km of 2D seismic data, shining a new light on the East Palawan Basin and the enigmatic Mialara Sub-basin. Designed to complement and infill Searcher’s Pala-Sulu Non-Exclusive 2D survey, it magnifies previously seen prospects and structures within the East Palawan basin.

A newly visualised depocenter, known as the Mialara Sub-Basin, owes its discovery to the advanced seismic data from Mialara’s 2D Seismic Survey. Regional analysis points to potential for varied play types, expansive structures, and various proven petroleum systems akin to those in the Western Philippines. This fresh data propels our understanding of the geological and hydrocarbon potential of the Eastern region, highlighting its significance as a must-have instrument for exploration and development.
