Laurabada East UltracubeTM 3D Reprocessing Survey

Revolutionising Data Quality and Exploration Potential in the Gulf of Papua.

The Laurabada East Ultracube™ 3D Reprocessing Survey spans approximately 1,020 square kilometers, delivering a significant uplift in data quality, unveiling exciting new exploration potential within the nearshore Aure Fold & Thrust Belt. Source and receiver deghosting substantially improved low-frequency content, essential for imaging below the fold belt, which is dispersive and attenuative.

Legacy processing relied on isotropic PSTM and 2D SRME for demultiple, whereas the current reprocessing, completed by WesternGeco, utilised 3D GSMP/SRME and anisotropic TTI pre-stack depth migration to help address complex diffracted multiples associated with the recent thrusted structures and enable high-resolution velocity modelling to improve imaging of the pre-Tertiary structure and within the fold belt.
