Foxhound West 3D Reprocessing
Enhancing Exploration in the Carnarvon Basin
Searcher’s Foxhound Non-Exclusive 3D Seismic Survey was originally acquired in 2009 with CGG’s M/V Geowave Voyager, composed of two cubes with a connecting 2D line. The Western cube, covering approximately 1,695 km2 was reprocessed in 2016/17 with project partner Schlumberger to further enhance imaging with modern AVO compliant bandwidth extension technology, improving the depth modelling by utlising a PSDM workflow and a robust velocity model. Â
The uplifted imaging allows for improved confidence in geological interpretation along-trend to the Chandon, Martell and Io-Jansz discoveries in one of Australia’s most prospective regions. Â
