Echidna Regional Broadband 2D Seismic Survey

A Comprehensive Exploration of the Atlantic Margin off Western Ireland

The Echidna Regional Broadband 2D Seismic Survey covers an expanse of approximately 9,000 kilometers, providing a considerable enhancement in data precision, unveiling compelling new exploration opportunities within the offshore Atlantic Margin of Western Ireland.

The survey spans the Goban Spur, Porcupine, and Slyne Basins and includes well-ties to over 30 exploration wells. It also incorporates the Connemarra and Burren oil fields and the Spanish Point gas discovery. A 10 kilometer cable length, along with broadband processing techniques distinctly improved the quality of high-frequency content, crucial for imaging beneath the basin systems which are diffusive and absorbent.
