Vampire Non-Exclusive 2D Seismic Survey

Browse the Browse Basin’s Potential

Sink your teeth into Western Australia’s Browse Basin with our state-of-the-art Vampire 2D Seismic Survey. Spanning roughly 7,000 km of interpretive long-offset modern PSTM and PSDM seismic data, this recently procured survey offers a comprehensive regional panorama of the structural and stratigraphic blueprints of the Browse Basin. With data tied to 60 key wells, it offers an unparalleled glimpse into this prolific region.

The survey was executed using the formidable M/V Aquila Explorer, a Seabird vessel equipped with cutting-edge Sercel Sentinel Solid Streamer technology and potent Bolt Source instruments. This potent combination renders it one of the most well-equipped 2D seismic vessels for the project. A full spectrum of supplementary products has been generated during the processing sequence, paving the way for further explorations such as AVO analyses, inversion, and basin modelling. This 2D seismic survey, designed with significant industry feedback concerning line orientation, well-tie selection, and other critical matters, addresses key issues found in legacy 2D and 3D open file data sets. Moreover, it offers a significant uplift in data quality and superior imaging at all play levels, particularly within deeper structures across the basin.
