Rachel Masters, Global Sales Manager for Searcher, said it is becoming increasingly more cost effective to reprocess existing, older surveys with a modern broadband algorithm.

“The reprocessing objective was to increase the deep Triassic fault block definition and assess the AVO behaviour, the results of the processing are impressive," Ms Masters said.

The Drop Bear Ultracube also covers the recent Pyxis-1 gas discovery by Woodside.

Searcher is currently undertaking PSDM reprocessing on a number of surveys, including the Lahara 2D Seismic Survey in Papua New Guinea and the Pala Sulu 2D Seismic Survey in the Philippines.
